Vit takka fyri Festívalhöll 2025

This year’s Viking Festival in Sandur became a truly memorable experience. We at Festivalhöll want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped bring the festival to life – from the moment the first tent was raised to the last fire went out.
We shared a weekend full of joy, laughter, curious children, proud Vikings, crafts, horses, games, sword fighting, storytelling, and a strong sense of togetherness.

You are sitting at the sand dunes in summertime. The tents are standing tight and firm on the field. Carried away by the fights, inspiring ancient crafts and cozy activities, you suddenly notice the alluring scent of the Viking food. The laughter from people sitting by the fire blends with ancient music and singing. You close your eyes to immortalize this moment.

Viking Market

Festívalhöll is inviting you, your friends, mothers and fathers, siblings, grandparents, or kids back in time for a while. Vikings will meet from far and wide. They will bring their authentic tents and display handmade Viking crafts. You will get the opportunity to engage in different games just like a real Viking! Ancient songs and melodies will be heard, stories of old told and Viking battles fought. You can also buy food made with ingredients which were available in the Viking age. Beverages can be purchased. Last but not least there will be a camp fire where you can sit with the Vikings and sing, talk and laugh. We can’t wait for the good times to begin. Come join us in the past.

Courses

Festívalhöll ætlar at bjóða fram ymisk skeið frá 30. juni til 3. juli. Kunning verður seinni at finna við at trýsta á búmerki niðanfyri. Dugur tú at undirvísa í fornum handverki, og gjarna vil bjóða teg fram, er tú vælkomin at skriva til okkara.
